Anna – எதையும் தாங்கும் இதயம்

C.N. Annadurai - A statesman and a scholar, a litterateur and a social reformer, a mass leader and a friend of poor.He played primary role in Dravidian movement, Hindi opposition & full stop to congress monotony rule.

He has even entered the Guinness Book of World Records, as the funeral with the largest attendance of humans, counted at approximately 15 million.

There are many things to share about Anna, but I like to mention just one.

In an address in 1962, former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C N Annadurai made the following statements opposing Hindi imposition:

"It is claimed that Hindi should be common language because it is spoken by the majority. Why should we then claim the tiger as our national animal instead of the rat which is so much more numerous? Or the peacock as our national bird when the crow is ubiquitous?"
